High Desert Brittany
Club
I am currently the
president of the High Desert Brittany
Club based in Bakersfield, California.
This club is dedicated to the promotion
and advancement of knowledge of Brittany
owners in central California. This club
is affiliated with the American Kennel
Club, The American Brittany Club, The
Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America,
and The American Field Dog Stud Book.
Our primary activities are conducting
AKC and American Field sanctioned field
trial competitions, currently we hold 2
trials per year, one in the spring and
the fall. Field trials are a great
place for new or existing owners to come
out and compete with their dogs in a
competition format that highlights the
hunting abilities of the Brittany.
This club was
started in the early 1980's by Jim and
Mary Bearneathy and their son Jimmy.
This club became a a
thriving
organization due to the long term
commitment and dedication of this family
and we owe a debt of gratitude to them.
In 2005 Jimmy relocated his dog training
business to Vinita, Oklahoma and his
parents moved shortly thereafter.
You can find jimmy at his website:www.bullcreekkennels.com.
